The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune.Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled at NCCS, Pune.

Desirable : Extensive experience in Animal Cell and tissue culture as evidenced by Publications or Patents.

Age limit: Below 35 years,
Qualification & Experience : Essential: 1st Class MTech / MD / MVSc / MPharm / MBiotech with 3 years experience in relevant field or PhD/corresponding degrees with about 1 years experience in relevant field.
Desirable : Extensive experience in Animal Cell and tissue culture as evidenced by Publications or Patents.
These two positions are for the services offered by NCCS such as the cell repository. The two Scientists will be expected to maintain, handle and distribute animal tissue cultures. The two scientists will not lead any research groups, nor will take research students under their direct supervision. It is understood that both the Scientists will devote 100% time in carrying out services of the Cell Repository of NCCS.
A separate application for each post in the prescribed application format with recent passport size photograph, required attested copies of the certificates and the DD should reach to The Director, National Centre for Cell Science, NCCS Complex, Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind, Pune 411 007, Maharashtra, India on or before 30.9.2013.

1. Total Monthly Emoluments (TME) includes Transport Allowance and HRA as per rules.
2. Age relaxation will be available to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government of India rules.
3. A demand draft of Rs. 100/- (excluding SC/ST/PH candidates) towards the cost of application, drawn in favour of Director, National Centre for Cell Science, should be attached with the application form.
4. Applications received after the due date and / or without the copies of the required certificates and the DD will not be considered.
5. Experience mentioned should have gathered by the candidate after acquisition of the essential qualifications.
6. Higher start in basic pay may be considered in case of meritorious and outstanding candidates.

12. Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any right in a candidate for calling for interview.
